It is with great sadness we share with all of New Zealand the sad news of the passing of Roger Fox, New Zealand’s big band jazz champion, always actively performing, touring, teaching, both across New Zealand and internationally, from his youth through till his last years.
To say he was the musical soul and tour de force of the Island View Jazz Fest is an understatement – Lorne and the team as Island View have been blown away with Roger’s amazing musical talents, his superb organising ability, and his down to earth nice guy approachability. He will be sorely missed.
